Sealing hair cuticles is important to retain hair’s retention and keep it lustrous. Want a simple and easy recipe that will work as a sealant?

This is a very simple and easy recipe, but works wonders for your hair. Before going into the whys and benefits of the recipe or ingredients, let’s get to the recipe first.

Ingredients

Shea Butter – 30 Gms.

Aloe Vera Gel – 7 Grams.

Argan Oil – 2 Tsp.

Castor Oil – ½ Tbsp.

Coconut Oil – ½ Tbsp.

Tea Tree Oil – 7 drops

Instructions

Add Shea Butter to a small mixing bowl and whip it on high using a hand blender fir few seconds.

If the Shea Butter is very hard and grating doesn’t help you can melt it in your double boiler to make whipping easier.

Now, add in Aloe Vera Gel and whip for a few seconds.

Add Argan Oil, Coconut Oil and Castor Oil slowly into the mixture and continue whipping.

Finally add Tea Tree Oil and whisk together till the mixture is fluffy and light.

Done!

Transfer to a sterilized container and use as needed.

How to Use the Hair Fluff?

After you nourish your hair – however you do it – oil or hair cream or conditioner, whatever, apply this at the end. A little goes a long way with this fluf, so take a small dollop and add if you need more. Apply on your hair strands – working a little more on the ends. Done! Style as usual. You don’t need this daily, so chose the frequency per your hair requirement.

Shelf Life

This keeps good for 3 – 6 months, though this is a small batch and gets over real quick. You can whip up a larger batch if you use it a lot, or have more members in your family.

Remember

This works as a sealant – so use this at the end. If you don’t apply your moisturizer or nourishing ingredients and apply this directly, it might not be of much use to you as a sealant.

Yes, the product itself has its uses, but not as a sealant if you forget your moisturizer.

This is a very simple and nourishing recipe that hardly takes a few minutes to prepare.
