Color treated hair needs TLC and a different type of care of pampering in certain aspects. Using hair oil that will also soothe and heal is a good idea.

So, when coming up with this recipe we have in mind a few things – the oil should be soothing and healing to prevent further damage and protect hair. While some damage is irreversible the hair oil should minimize damage where it can. So, ready to check out the recipe?

Ingredients

Argan Oil – 2 Tbsp.

Jojoba Oil – 2 Tbsp.

Sweet Almond OIl – 2 Tbsp.

Avocado Oil – 1 Tbsp.

Rosemary Essential Oil – 7 Drops

Lemongrass Oil – 3 Drops

Chamomile Essential Oil – 4 Drops

Instructions

Nothing special or complicated – just add all the ingredients to a glass amber bottle and shake gently.

Let it sit for two days and then you’re good to go!

Why These Ingredients?

This is a light, soothing, healing and nourishing hair oil that’s simple but very effective and can be used as a daily oil. It is also gender neutral and can be used by both men and women.

Together these ingredients soothe and nurture your hair that’s lost its luster and shine and make it alive and well.

If you want to repair and rejuvenate your hair, look no further!

How to Use this Oil?

You can use this 25 minutes to an hour prior to your shower if you prefer it as a pre-shower treatment. If you’re doing this, massage the oil a little liberally into your scalp and cover the strands with the oil till the tips. Use a mild cleanser or shampoo to wash off your hair and air dry.

Alternatively, you can use this as your daily hair oil. It’s light and can be applied to your scalp and massaged gently. Cover the strands with any remaining oil. Massage with your finger tips and brush or comb your hair a few times. If you are worried about your hair looking oily, you can do this at night instead of just before heading out or for work. When using it like this you can apply lightly instead of liberally like you apply as a pre-shower treatment.
