Here, we have listed a few creative ways to use our Argan Oil with a twist, for flawless skin.

Dry Skin

Dry skin needs extra moisture, nourishment, hydration and care. Skin is already dry and probably damaged. Besides, anything can trigger irritation or inflammation or bruises.

Combine Argan Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Carrot Seed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Lavender Essential Oil and Rosehip Seed Oil. You can choose the ratios according to your preference and requirement. Though all the oils listed are carrier oils, except Lavender Essential Oil, Carrot Seed Oil and Rosehip Oil are extremely nourishing and pricey.

You can keep Argan and Jojoba as your base oils, closely followed by Evening Primrose and treat Carrot Seed Oil and Rosehip Oil like essential oil (a few drops). Lavender Essential Oil is healing and suits all skin types, and one of the very few essential oils that can be applied directly. This combination is a great healing and nourishing combination, suitable for dry, damaged or blemished skin.

Combination Skin

Combination skin is quite tricky as every skin type has different routines and requirements. With combination skin, you don’t fall under one particular skin category and that makes identifying the right skincare ingredients or routines, tricky!

Argan Oil, with a few drops of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil and Frankincense Essential Oil can do wonders to soothe and balance your confused skin! You can add a few drops of Geranium (stimulating oil for giving energy), if you are planning to use this during the day.

Oily Skin

Add Jojoba Oil and Argan Oil in equal parts, with a few drops of Clary Sage Essential Oil, Roman Chamomile and Petitgrain (energizing) Essential Oil. You can apply this during the day, if you are planning to use it during the night, replace the Petitgrain Essential Oil with Rose. Skin’s oil level is balanced and issues due to excess sebum production are curbed.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin needs extra care and caution, since even the simplest ingredients can trigger irritation, itching or redness. It is a good idea to use gentle ingredients for best results.

Combine Argan Oil and Jojoba Oil in equal quantities and add a few drops of Helichrysum Essential Oil and German Chamomile Essential Oil. Use this blend as needed.

General Skincare Blend – Suits most Skin Types

To Argan Oil, add a few drops of Geranium Essential Oil. Use this blend in the mornings, for an invigorating start at the beginning of the day.

Healing Scars or Blemishes

In an amber-colored bottle, add 2 parts Argan Oil, 1 part Rosehip Seed Oil, few drops of Helichrysum Essential Oil, Carrot Seed Oil and Lavender Essential Oil. You can apply this blend for getting rid of blemishes, wrinkles, age spots, scars, etc. You can apply this blend at night, or during the day as you see fit.

Tips

Before applying oil for moisturizing or nourishing, make sure you cleanse your face with a mild face wash. Check the recipe here. Never apply these blends without washing off your face, however tired you are! Just skip the oil in that case, but don’t overlook cleansing!

The variations can be varied according to your preference or requirement. At the end of the day, we can only advice – you are the best person to decide what your skin wants!

For those who can’t skip makeup due to various reasons, you can apply makeup as usual after applying these blends. They do a good job at protecting your skin.

It is a good idea to massage your face and neck using these blends, whichever you choose, till it is fully absorbed by your skin. Make sure you do upward strokes, for best results.
