Argan Oil

Argan Oil for Hair

We have many articles here on our site with the many benefits of Argan oil. Argan oil can nourish your hair and tame frizz. It moisturizes and strengthens hair strands. It adds shine and volume, besides reducing split ends. Haven’t you seen Moroccan women with gorgeous hair? They say Argan oil is the secret of their hair and skin health.

Jojoba Oil

It has longer shelf life except for coconut and castor oils. It mimics sebum secreted in our scalp and hence, get absorbed readily.

It is anti-bacterial and can soothe and treat scalp problems including dry scalp and dandruff. It penetrates hair follicles and strengthens hair strands. It adds shine, elasticity and luster to your hair.

It curbs hair thinning and promotes hair growth. It stimulates blood flow to the scalp and is non-greasy and light. It also nourishes and moisturizes dry and frizzy hair.

Essential oils you can consider

Peppermint Essential Oil

We all know peppermint has an invigorating and refreshing aroma, though few don’t fancy it. Do you know it can regulate pH levels? Yes, it is a great toner and astringent and helps regulate sebum production.

It helps treat dandruff and keeps lice at bay. Do you know it stimulates hair follicles and promotes hair growth? It is a great hair loss remedy, since it binds hair to the roots and increases blood circulation to the scalp.

It is a great hair tonic and conditioner, so adds luster and shine to your hair. Have wavy hair? Peppermint can add more bounce and give you enviable locks. Even with so many astonishing hair care properties, it should not be used on the scalp directly without dilution.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender oil is a great stress buster, but do you know it also nourishes you hair? It moisturizes hair strands and scalp, helps improve blood circulation to the scalp and promotes hair growth, and it helps treat hair fall. That’s not all; it is an anti-septic and can help with many scalp problems triggered by bacteria, microbes or fungi.

Rosemary Oil

We have already mentioned how Rosemary is an effective hair loss and hair thinning treatment option, so is a good choice if you have hair thinning or hair loss.

Sage Essential Oil

Sage smells great and helps curb hair loss, besides regulating excess sebum production. It’s a good choice if you have oily hair.

You can also consider Lemon oil or Thyme oil for their anti-microbial and anti-septic properties.

Tweaking the recipe for your hair

Essential oils are more of a personal choice and pretty much, any essential oil should do. Lavender has a calming effect, so good for those with higher stress levels. Also, it has great fragrance and a mainstay in perfumeries. On the other hand, tea tree oil can be great for those with scalp issues like dandruff.

Jojoba oil can be replaced with Coconut oil for those who prefer that over other oils. Basically, when using Jojoba the hair does not look oily and suits those who head out for work.

This conditioner smells great and last for a few weeks. However, preparing every few days seems to be more potent.
