Want to style your hair at ease, without having to worry about tangles? One that wouldn’t leave your sensitive scalp with more issues?

Basically, sensitivity has been a problem for many. Many don’t realize or relate the term when it comes to themselves, or their loved ones. However, that doesn’t mean it isn’t there.

If you have to be careful about what you put on your hair, or scalp and can get allergic reactions to simplest changes, you have a sensitive scalp. So, I wanted something that would soothe the scalp not just getting rid of the tangles. Aloe Vera was one such choice, but not everyone can use it on their hair, or get their hands on it.

Hair or Scalp Problems

So, I came up with an alternative, ACV. Let me tell you, while the ACV does smell off, really off, you don’t have to worry about it. It will leave you smelling of apples once it evaporates 😉

So, forget about the cider odor and get on with the recipe. Give it a shot and let us know your results.

Ingredients

ACV – ¼ Cup
Distilled Water – 350 Ml
Pure Aloe Gel – ¼ Cup
Essential Oil – 25 Drops

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a spritzer and shake well to combine.

I prefer running the gel through a blender for ensuring it is fine, though it not needed always.

Once combined, you’re done!

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

I used Lavender Essential Oil for the recipe, though you can use any essential oil you prefer. Make sure you choose organic essential oils that are pure. A few choices include Cedarwood, Patchouli, Tangerine, etc.

You can add more or less water – aloe ratio, if you find your hair is easy to dry. Alternatively, you can also add a few drops of Glycerin to the recipe.

How to Use the Detangler?

You can spray this detangler on wet or dry hair ad then, style as usual.

Points to Remember

Use a glass container if you’re using essential oils in your recipe. You don’t want the plastic leeching onto your recipe.

The idea is to keep the recipe simple, effective and ideal for sensitive scalp. This way, it wouldn’t trigger unpleasant reactions. I like that this is suitable for fine hair, not just curly hair and yet, works effectively.

Why These Ingredients?

A natural conditioner, ACV is not only a natural ingredient that balances scalp pH, it also gets rid of build-up.

Aloe Vera is rich in amino acids and help condition hair, while also leaving it moisturized.

I use Lavender Essential Oil due to the aroma, but also because it is mild and offers numerous hair and scalp benefits. I like it is gentle enough and yet, nutures and strengthens my hair health.
