DIY Reviving Hair Mask

Hair goes through a lot, especially if you are into styling treatments, or if your hair is exposed to rough weather, sun and what not!

Just like everything else, hair needs care, nourishment, nurturing and rejuvenation to remain healthy, strong and shiny. When hair is exposed to sun without protection, it can get fried 😉 just like how your skin can get burned! Or a dip in your pool without a headgear or a shower cap, can leave your hair and scalp beaten!

If you style your hair often, use styling products or heat or chemical treatments, including chemical hair colors, hair can get damaged. Some health problems or even lack of nutrition can leave your hair and scalp undernourished and dry.

Tips to Tweak the Recipe

I have used Yogurt in this recipe, because it is available all year round. However, you can use Avocado instead, if you get it. If you use Avocado, you will need one mashed Avocado.

I have used Argan Oil for its rejuvenating properties. You can also use other carrier oils of your choice though Avocado Oil, Hazelnut Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Aloe Vera Oil, etc. are good too.

Why Use This Mask?

This refreshingly scented mask is not only soothing and relaxing, it also helps keep dandruff at bay, gets rid of hair issues due to heat, soothes hair and what not! It will have your hair shiny and soft all over again.

How to Use This Mask?

After preparing the mask, wear hand gloves and apply the mask to your scalp. Massage using your fingers and blend the mask in, all the way to your scalp and don’t forget the tips of your hair. Wrap your head using a shower cap and wait for at least 30 minutes. Wash off!

When I don’t have time for the mask, I just add a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my shampoo and wash as usual. This keeps my hair and scalp healthy. Don’t have time for DIY Recipes? Try HY Vitamins Hair Care Products for healthy hair and scalp.
