But the truth is far from it – you can get help for your frizz and handle it with efficacy! No – absolutely not recommending pricey products or treatment options at beauty salons, but using simple ingredients around your home or kitchen, you can bid adieu to frizz. How does that sound?

Why Frizz?

Before moving to the remedies, let’s understand frizz better. That will give you an idea of remedies that will work. Frizz is due to damage and dryness of hair. When it becomes constant, your hair is frizzy and becomes lifeless.

How to Deal With Frizz?

Moisture and nourishment help tame frizz. Here are few natural remedies you can try.

Almond Oil

Take a few spoons of Almond Oil (enough for your hair and scalp) and add an Egg to it. Whisk and apply this mixture to your scalp and though your strands. Wash off after 30 minutes and do this once a week.

Mayonnaise

It is no wonder that Mayonnaise works for frizz now, is it? Take ¼ Cup of Mayonnaise, 1 or 2 Eggs (varies with your hair length) and 1/3 cup of Avocado Oil. Whip these ingredients thoroughly and apply as a mask for your hair and scalp. Cover with a hot towel and wash off after 40 minutes. You can do this twice a week.

Avocado

Extremely moisturizing, what better way to curb frizz than with Avocado? Take a Ripe Avocado and mash it. Now, add a cup of Yogurt and apply it as as mask to your scalp and hair. Wash off after 40 minutes. You can do this once or twice a week.

Vitamin E Oil

Take Coconut Oil and Vitamin E Oil in the ratio of 4:1, along with a spoon of Argan Oil and apply as a mask for your hair. Wash off after 30 minutes. You can do this 1 – 2 times a week.

Beer

Take a can of Beer and rinse your hair with it after shampooing your hair. After, rinse off with cold water. Though am not sure about using Alcohol on already dry and damaged hair, many claim this works. For curiosity sake I tried once and yes, it did leave my hair soft and shiny. You can do this once or twice a week.

Banana

All you need are 2 spoons of Honey, a ripe Banana and ½ Cup of Almond Oil. Mash the banana and add the other ingredients in, mix well and apply as a mask for your hair and scalp. Wash off after 30 minutes. You can do this once a week.

Honey

Honey

A humectant and moisturizer, Honey can do wonders to tame frizz. Just dilute a few spoons of Honey in 1/3 Cup of lukewarm water and pour it on your hair. Once your hair is covered with it, massage your scalp and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing off. I usually do this after shampooing, though if you don’t like to smell like honey, wash off with a mild shampoo after!

These are just a few remedies that work well to tame frizz. Stay tuned, we will be adding more remedies for dealing with frizz soon. Have you tried HY Vitamins Hair Care products already?
