DIY Hair Spa Ideas – Part II

We are looking at how to bring home the spa experience. Here are more ideas to add to your arsenal and probably, pamper yourself or your loved one!

Before we get further into the ideas, I wanted to let you know this. A spa has more appeal due to ambience, the extra fittings and frills, more than the treatment or even the people in there.

So, when you are trying to recreate it at home, you don’t have to go all the way. But an essential oil or two could help with the ambience and relax you while you are it! Also, massage isn’t very complicated and a few videos will make you an expert in self-massage, or basic massage. Nothing too tricky or technical with a head massage, really.

Argan Spa

Now that’s cleared up, we’re off to Hair Spa Ideas.

Banana Spa

Mash a ripe Banana or two. Add a few spoons of Olive Oil and make a smooth paste. Apply this on your hair after steaming for 10 minutes, as we discussed in our last post. Now, let the mask sit for about 20 minutes before washing off. You can do this up to two times a week. Rich in potassium, natural oil and nutrients, banana can improve your hair health and bring back hair’s lost elasticity and shine.

Strawberry Spa

Mash a cup of Strawberries and whip an Egg Yolk along with it. Add in a few spoons of Olive Oil. Mix well and apply this as a mask after steaming your hair for about 10 minutes. After about 10 minutes wash off your hair and let it air dry. You can do this once a week for stronger and healthier hair. This is ideal for normal hair.

Coconut Spa

Take a cup of Coconut Cream and apply it to your hair after steaming it for a few minutes. Let it sit on your hair for an hour and then wash off. You can do this once a week. Nothing works up your hair better than does coconut cream. Rich in nutrients, it can make your hair healthy and stronger all over again. This treatment is ideal if you have dry scalp and hair.

ACV Spa

You just need enough ACV to spray all over your hair for this! This is more of a rinse than a spa. You wash your hair using a mild shampoo – the only difference is you spray the ACV on your hair instead of a rinse. Wait for a minute or two and then, rinse off. This gets rid of resides, restores your hair and scalp and leaves your hair shiny and healthy. This is suitable for all hair types.

Honey Spa

This doesn’t need steaming either. All you have to do is wash off your hair and then apply the honey to wet hair after squeezing out excess water. Massage for a minute after applying honey and wait for about 5 – 10 minutes before rinsing off. You can do this twice a month and this is suitable for all hair types.

These are few simple ways to get hair spa done at home. We will be adding more ideas for you soon. Till then, try HY Vitamins Hair Care products for healthier and happier hair.
