We have seen a few remedies for dry hair in our previous post. We are going to see more of them in this post. The best part – they’re all natural ways to get smooth and shiny hair.

Yogurt

A natural conditioner, you can use this as a mask. The best part – this helps heal dry hair.

You can also mix a spoon of ACV and Honey to half cup of Yogurt and apply it.

Alternatively, you can add a spoon of Mustard or Olive Oil to half cup of Yogurt and use that as a mask.

Wait for at least 15 minutes before you wash off the mask.

Banana

Mash 2 bananas (ripe) and add a beaten Egg to it. Apply this as a mask. Wait for 30 minutes before washing off.

Fenugreek Seeds

Soak about 50 Grams of Fenugreek Seeds at night and grind it next morning, along with ¼ Cup of Yogurt, ½ Tsp. Olive Oil and a spoon of Honey. Mix and use this as your mask. Wait for 30 minutes before washing off. Alternatively, you can apply plain Fenugreek paste, if you don’t have time.

Honey

A humectant, Honey is an effective way to keep dry hair at bay. You could use honey as is, or along with other ingredients.

For ¼ Cup of Honey, add 1 Tbsp. of Buttermilk along with a spoon of Coconut Oil and few drops of Argan Oil. Apply this as a mask and wash off after 20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can use Honey and Olive Oil as your mask. Let it sit for 30 minutes, before washing off.

Mayonnaise

Rich in proteins, Mayonnaise can leave your hair healthy, shiny and happy! You can use it individually, or combine it with Almond Oil. Wait for at least 30 minutes before washing off.

Avocado

Popularly called Butter Fruit, Avocado is one of the best foods for dry hair. You can puree an Avocado and use it directly, or combine it with other ingredients.

One way is to use it with Milk and Oil. For one cup of Avocado puree, you can add ¼ Cup of Milk and 1 Tbsp. of Coconut Oil. Wait for 20 minutes before washing off.

You can also add essential oils like Peppermint Essential Oil or Eucalyptus Essential Oil to this mask.

Avocado can also be combined with Mayonnaise for very dry hair. You can take both in equal quantities for the mask and wait for 15 minutes before washing off. If you don’t want to use Mayonnaise, use Yogurt instead.

Gelatin

Gelatin is protein rich and can be used to strengthen and nourish your hair.

Prepare a gelatin pack with a spoon of Gelatin (alter according to the type of Gelatin you use) in a cup of hot water and stir till you get a thick gel. Now, use this as your hair pack and wait for 20 minutes, before washing off.

Alternatively, you can add ACV and Rosemary Essential Oil to make the pack better. This can be done once a week.

Aloe Vera

The good old Aloe Vera is another moisturizer you could use for dry hair. You can use the gel or juice directly on dry hair, to soothe and heal it.

Alternatively, you can prepare a pack with ¼ Cup each of Yogurt and Aloe Vera along with a spoon of Coconut Oil. Wait for 30 minutes before washing off.
