DIY Hair Packs for Winter

Winter is one tough season for hair! Hair tends to get rough and dry, needless to say the split ends that appear all of a sudden and what not! So, here’s how you can keep your hair strong and shiny through winter.

During winter, hair needs special care and nourishment. A few nourishing and moisturizing hair packs go a long way in making your hair healthy and happy, even during winters. Let’s take a look at a few packs that will keep winter blues at bay, shall we?

Banana & ACV

Mash three ripe bananas and add 2 – 3 Tbsp. of ACV and mix well. Apply this mixture your scalp and let it sit for 15 minutes before rinsing off.

The best thing about this pack is that it clarifies and aids better cleansing of your scalp. This leaves your hair shiny, soft and free from dryness – healthy and happy hair, naturally!

Eggs with mashed banana

Egg & Banana

We all know bananas are good for moisturizing, while eggs are great source of nourishment. Now, all we need for this pack are 2 ripe Bananas and 2 eggs. Mash them together and apply it as a mask. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes before washing off. Don’t forget to rinse off with cold water. Your hair will be healthy and shiny.

Honey & Milk

Honey is gaining popularity as a great skin and hair care aid. All you need for this pack are 1 cup of whole milk and ¼ of Honey. Mix well and apply to your hair and scalp. Let it sit for 40 minutes This will hydrate, moisturize and nourish your hair, leaving it more manageable, healthy and shiny.

Avocado

Have Avocados handy? Mash 2 or more (according to your requirement) Avocados until you get a smooth paste. Now, apply this to your hair and scalp and wait for 30 minutes. Wash off with warm water for shiny and healthy hair. I like that this reduces damage and prevents split-ends.

Pumpkin

This pack is very easy. All you need for this pack is a cup of Pumpkin. Blend it to a smooth paste and add a spoon of Honey to it. Mix well and apply this to your hair and scalp. Wait for 15 minutes and rinse off. Rich in minerals and vitamins, this pack will leave your hair nourished and restored.

Potato

Do you know Potato is great for your hair? Just peel a few Potatoes and grind it to a fine paste in your blender. Extract the juice and add a Tbsp. of honey to it and use this mixture to massage your scalp. Wait for about 10 – 15 minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water for shiny and soft hair.
