We’ve been discussing Remedies to combat Hair Thinning, naturally. Along those lines, we’re going to look at more options for you to work with.

Onion & Coconut Oil

We have already seen Onion juice can be used directly for curbing hair loss, promote hair regrowth, prevent or curb hair thinning, etc. There are different ways to use Onion Juice. Here are few options for those who don’t prefer applying Onion Juice directly.

Grind a few Onions and extract the juice. You will need about 3 – 5 Tbsps. of Onion Juice. To that, add 3 – 5 spoons of Coconut Oil and a few drops of Rosemary Essential Oil. Massage your scalp with this mixture and wait for 30 – 45 minutes before you wash off.

Onion & Honey

Take equal quantities of Honey, Onion Juice and Olive Oil and apply this mixture to your scalp. Massage for a few minutes and let the mixture sit for at least 30 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.

Onion & Egg

Take 1 Egg, beat it well and then, add a Tbsp. each of Onion Juice, Honey, Castor Oil and Coconut Oil. Mix well and apply as a mask. Wait for 30 minutes before you wash off.

Hair Rinses

Depending on what’s available, your preference and hair requirements, hair rinses can be a great way to curb hair loss and hair thinning. To a liter of water, add a handful of Horsetail, Holy Basil, Stinging Nettle, False Daisy, Watercress and Licorice herbs or just a spoon of dry powders instead. Bring them to a boil, remove from heat and let it cool down. Use this as your final rinse and rinse out with cool water. Do this at least twice a week. You can see good results within a few weeks.

Egg

Rich in nutrients, including Zinc and Selenium, Egg can do wonders for your hair and scalp. Combine it with a spoon each of Olive Oil, Castor Oil and Honey and you have a rich and nourishing mask. Apply this to your scalp and wait for 30 minutes before you wash off.

Burdock

Burdock Root

Rich in anti-inflammatory agents, Burdock Root Oil can be used to curb Hair Thinning. You can also combine it with other hair benefits oils, for better results.

Ginger

Mash a piece (at least 1”) of Ginger Root and add Argan Oil, Olive Oil and Castor Oil to it. Massage the mixture to your scalp and wash off after 30 minutes.

Henna

You’ve probably seen Indian or Asian Women, wearing attractive designs on their hands. Do you know it done with leaves? Yes, Henna leaves give a nice orange – deep orange coloring. These leaves are also good for your hair and scalp, however, considering it can cause coloring, this remedy is more suited for those with darker hair.

In small bowl, heat ½ cup of water. Add a spoon of Tea Leaves and once brewed, strain and set aside. To this, add 1 Tbsp. of Onion Juice and enough Henna Powder to make a paste. If you have fresh leaves, all the more better. Grind it along with the brewed tea to get a thick paste. Also, add juice from ½ Lemon and a spoon of Yogurt.

Apply this mixture to your scalp and let it sit for 30 minutes at least. If you have premature greying, this mixture can dye your hair brown – that’s a plus right 😉
